Red Bull Big Tune Beat Battle Photos

It, went, how you say... down!
Last night was the Houston leg of the Red Bull Big Tune Beat Battle, and what a battle it was. I wasn't totally sure how interesting a "beat battle" would be, but man it was real dope. Mostly because some serious Texas talent really brought their A Game and killed it.
I don't rememeber everyones name who was in it (mostly because I was running from the door to the stage, door to the stage, all night) But I do know that in the end it came down to THE ARE (formerly known as the producer of The K-Otix) and Symbolic 1 of Strange Fruit Project, with THE ARE emerging victorious.
Salih and Tomar and Ishaq Williams and Latasha and DJ Crash of Carnival Beats made a special appearance. Devin the Dude and the Coughee Brothaz rocked it (word to 14K for coming out and doing "Somebody Elses Wife" with Devin!). 845 people thru the door, oh what a job this is.

Drewski and Ryu started things off. Drewski went first and played a beat he should have played last cuz it was a real killer. Dude ripped his shirt open to reveal a Superman S. Ryu made it rain and threw money at the crowd, which may have helped him cuz it got the crowd hype, and in the end won the first round. That's about all I can really remember about the battle itself cuz alas and alak, I didn't reallyget to see a lot of it.
THE LEGENDARY PRODUCER CRAZY C!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! With Madd Hatta. If ya don't know Crazy C is one of the folks who created/shaped the Houston sound. He also did the "Southern Remix" of "M-E-T-H-O-D Man" back in the day that blew up super big.

It was a dope event indeed. The ARE smashed everyone else with his beats. I tried to get photos as well but the lighting was definitely doing weird things.
The names of the contestants were: Symbolic 1, Pyro, Ryu, Desiac, Drathoven, Inkrediblez, T Ward, Drewski, Joe Traxx, Droop, Dover Boy.
