I know it's been a longtime standard tradition for the big 5 to shill out $$ for airplay. However, after reading that article by Davey D, it sickens me that Sony are not being held accountable, that they're just taking the $$ out of the individual artists contract. I know it's not in Clear Channel's policy to accept payola, but seeing that they're a monopoly of commercial radio where these same stupid fucking songs get played, it seems like they too should be held accountable, since they're the provider to repeatedly aired filler music that doesn't deserve a second in the first place.
